The Future Champions Scholarship is awarded annually to three (3) graduating student-athletes from Bethune-Bowman Middle/High, Lake Marion High, Holly Hill Academy, Branchville High, Woodland High, or Dorchester Academy who plan to pursue any type of post-secondary education or begin a military career.

how the scholarship program works
Eligibility
Student-Athletes must:
- Be a graduating senior from Bethune-Bowman Middle/High, Lake Marion High, Holly Hill Academy, Branchville High, Woodland High, or Dorchester Academy
- Participate(d) in the following sports: basketball, football, volleyball, softball, baseball, soccer, cheerleading, lacrosse, track and field, tennis, swimming, hunting, fishing, and golf
- Have enrolled in a 2 or 4-year college, technical school, trade school; or enlisted in the military
Evaluation Criteria
This is a competitive scholarship. Applicants are evaluated based on academic performance and the clarity and quality of their responses to the application questions. While a GPA of 3.0 or higher is recommended, it is not required. Essays carry significant weight and account for more than half of the total evaluation score. All applications are reviewed by Seven Flowers, LLC personnel.
To be considered, student-athletes must also upload:
- A sport verification letter from their team coach confirming participation (click the "sports verification letter" button below)
- An acceptance or sworn-in letter from an accredited 2- to 4-year college, technical or trade school, or military branch

Application Timeline
Applications open August 4, 2025. A complete application must be received by 5:00 pm EST on March 31, 2026. Applications received after this deadline will not be accepted. Scholarship award recipients will be notified via email on May 15, 2026.
Scholarship Award Amount
Three award recipient(s) will receive a check in the amount of $500 each. This is a one-time, cash award.

When is the deadline to apply?
Your application must be complete and received by 5:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday, March 31, 2026.
Who is eligible to apply?
Graduating student-athletes from Bethune-Bowman Middle/High, Lake Marion High, Woodland High, Branchville High, Dorchester Academy, and Holly Hill Academy who will be entering an US accredited 2- or 4-year college/university, technical college, trade school, or military branch in the summer or fall of 2026 are eligible to apply.
What do I need to include to complete the scholarship application?
Information and requirements include:
- A signed copy of the Sport Verification Letter from the Head Coach of your particular sport
- Two required essays of approximately 250 words each
- A copy of an acceptance/sworn-in letter from an US accredited college or university, technical college, trade school, or military branch. PLEASE BLOCK OUT ANY SENSITIVE INFORMATION (ex. SSN)
What is the scholarship amount?
A total of three (3) student-athletes from an eligible school will receive a one-time cash award of $500.
Will I be notified about the status of my application?
When you successfully submit your application, you'll get a screen message confirming your application was received. Due to the volume of applications, we cannot provide any information on the status of an application before the award announcements are made on Friday, May 15, 2026. Only award recipients will be notified by email.
