How the Scholarship Program works
eligibility
Student-Athletes must:
Be a graduating senior from Bethune-Bowman Middle/High, Lake Marion High, or Holly Hill Academy
Participate(d) in the following sports: basketball, football, volleyball, softball, baseball, soccer, cheerleading, lacrosse, track and field, tennis, swimming, hunting, fishing, and golf
Have enrolled in a 2 or 4-year college, technical school, trade school; or enlisted in the military
evaluation criteria
This a competitive scholarship. Applicants are evaluated according to academic performance and clear articulation of answers to grant questions. A GPA of 3.0 or higher is recommended. Essays account for up to half of your total score. Scholarship applicants are judged by Seven Flowers, LLC personnel. In addition to the application, student-athletes must upload a copy of the sport verification letter from their team coach verifying team participation and a copy of an acceptance/sworn-in letter from an accredited 2 to 4-year college, technical school, trade school, or military branch in order to be considered for the scholarship award. PLEASE BLOCK OUT ANY SENSITIVE INFORMATION (EX. SSN) FROM YOUR ACCEPTANCE/SWORN-IN LETTER.

Applications open August 5, 2024. A complete application must be received by 5:00 pm EST on March 31, 2025. Applications received after this deadline will not be accepted. Scholarship award recipients will be notified via email on May 23, 2025.
Scholarship Award Amount
Each award recipient will receive a check in the amount of $500. This is a one-time, cash award.

Graduating student-athletes from Bethune-Bowman Middle/High, Lake Marion High, and Holly Hill Academy who will be entering an US accredited 2- or 4-year college/university, technical college, trade school, or military branch in the summer or fall of 2025 are eligible to apply.
What do I need to include to complete the scholarship application?
Information and requirements include:
- A signed copy of the Sport Verification Letter from the Head Coach of your particular sport
- Two required essays of approximately 250 words each
- A copy of an acceptance/sworn-in letter from an US accredited college or university, technical college, trade school, or military branch. PLEASE BLOCK OUT ANY SENSITIVE INFORMATION (ex. SSN)
- Overall GPA
What is the scholarship amount?
One (1) student from each eligible school will receive a one-time cash award of $500.
Will I be notified about the status of my application?
When you successfully submit your application, you'll get a screen message confirming your application was received. Due to the volume of applications, we cannot provide any information on the status of an application before the award announcements are made on May 23, 2025. Only award recipients will be notified by email.
When and how are the scholarship awards announced?
Awards will be announced by email on May 23, 2025. Award recipients who do not respond are then contacted by phone. A Facebook and Instagram post of the winners will be made on our company page after all award recipients have been contacted and verified. While we would love a photo with all winners, it is optional and not necessary to receive the award. Please note that due to the volume of applications we cannot provide any information on the status of an application before award announcements are made. Only award recipients will be contacted.
